Accommodation options for AusEVO 2024
Welcome to Perth! We are excited to host you at the 2024 Australasian Evolution Society Conference. Below are some suggested accommodation options both in the vicinity of UWA and in Perth city centre, including some options that can provide discount codes for AES conference delegates.
Student Accommodation
St George’s College
St George’s College (46 Mounts Bay Rd, Crawley) is located directly across Stirling Hwy / Mounts Bay Rd from UWA, and is a 750 m walk from the conference venue. Rooms are available during the conference starting at $120 per night, including breakfast (see St George Room Rates 2023&2024.pdf for room rates and https://stgc.uwa.edu.au/bookings for booking).
If more than 10 rooms are booked, the college will provide a 10% discount code. If you are travelling as part of a large group (e.g. from the same institution/department) and interested in getting a discounted rate, please email the Australasian Evolution Society executive (ausevolutionsociety@gmail.com) before you book. Bookings can also be directly made without the discount at their website.
Beatty Lodge
Beatty Lodge student accommodation (35 Vincent St, West Perth) is located 8 km from the conference venue, approximately 40 min by bus, and has several rooms available during the conference. Guests must stay for a minimum of 3 nights, and will be charged a flat weekly fee ($440 for single room, $200 for dorm), with a $400 bond for each booking.

Trinity College and Uni Hall These colleges, which are in the same vicinity as St George’s College, are not accepting individual bookings at the time of the conference, but can take group bookings (approximately 20+ people). If you are travelling as part of a large contingent (e.g. from the same institution/department) and would like to inquire about a group booking at one of these colleges, please email the Australasian Evolution Society executive (ausevolutionsociety@gmail.com).
