About the Conference
Evolution in the Gong — for the first time, the Australasian Evolution Society (AES) and the Society of Australian Systematic Biologists (SASB) are joining forces in one place.
We’ll be gathering at the stunning University of Wollongong campus, nestled between the rainforests of the Illawarra Escarpment and the Pacific Ocean, from 2–4 December 2026.

Travel Grants & Awards
Travel grants and ECR plenary awards from both societies will be announced very soon. If you win a grant or award, you will be reimbursed after registering — so don’t let the wait for outcomes stop you from registering and missing out on early bird rates!
